Returns Policy
On rare occasions, products under warranty may be found to be faulty or defective. As a result of this we offer the following options:
Faulty Items within 30 Days
If an item becomes faulty within 30 days. Items should be returned in their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Once we have verified there is an fault with the product we will dispatch a replacement or issue a full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse your reasonable return carriage costs.
We test all returned items, and if a returned item is found not to be faulty by our technicians we will return the item to you, in this instance you will be liable for the return carriage.
Normal Warranty Requests
Unless otherwise stated in the manufacturer's documentation, all goods supplied or delivered to UK mainland addresses carry a 12-month manufacturer's warranty.
After the initial 30 day period if a product develops a fault within the first year it is covered under the obove mentioned standard 12 month warranty. Faulty items will be sent to the product manufacturers to be repaired or replaced at thier discresion.
Please contact us if you have a problem with your product. Sometimes we will advise you to send the item direct to the manufactuer. This will help speed up the turn around. If you are un-happy to send the product to the manufacturer items can be sent to us, and we will forward them to the manufactuer on your behalf.
As is standard for most good purchased anywhere, the warranty shall not apply if the goods have been tampered with, altered or damaged in any way by the customer; this includes connection cables and looms. Please contact Sextons Direct Car Audio via our online contact form before taking any action. We will contact you with an appropriate solution to your problem as soon as possible.
Returns Procedure
If you are advised to return the goods to Sextons Direct Car Audio the following will apply. On receipt of the returned product we will test it to identify the fault you have notified to us. Provided that the goods are found to be faulty under the terms of the manufacturers warranty there will be no charge for rectification or return carriage. If following the testing process the product is found to be in good working order without defect, we will return the product to you, the carriage cost of which will be your responsibility.
If we need to send the product back to the original manufacturers, this may take longer dependant on the manufacturer's turnaround time. You will be informed of our progress while this process is taking place.
Sextons Direct Car Audio is an online retailer only, as a result goods may not be returned to any Sextons branch.
Customers will be responsible for the organisation and cost of returning goods to us. Please ensure the equipment is adequately packed and protected to prevent damage in transit. Include your order details in any returns and also a full description of the fault. Please also supply a daytime contact telephone number and return address.
Please note proof of postage is not proof of delivery; therefore please use a reliable and recognised courier.
Cool off Period
7 Day 'Cooling Off Period'
As per the Distance Selling Act if within 7 days of delivery you find the product unsuitable for the application it may be returned for a full refund. This is subject to a the following conditions
- Items must be returned in an 'as new' condition.
- Software etc which are shink wrapped must be unbroken
Certain items are not included in the 7 day no quibble refund
- Custom made items such as cut cables
- Personalised items
If you wish to return an item please contact us by email stating your OrderID. Once we have provided a returns number please return the item to us at the following address. It is the buyers responsibility to return the product in the condition that it arrived. It is recommended that an insured delivery service is used.

Refunds
If Sextons Direct Car Audio have offered a refund for the goods the following conditions will apply:
- The goods are to be returned unopened and in original condition.
- The goods are to be returned within 7 days of purchase.
- If points 1. and 2. are met then a handling fee of 20% or £20+vat, whichever is the greater will be deducted from the refunded amount.
Alternatively the customer may choose to exchange the returned goods for credit against alternative products to the equivalent value or greater without a handling fee.
Contracts for the purchase of goods by a customer not acting in the course of a business and made over the telephone or through the Sextons Direct Car Audio website are, subject to The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, with the exception of Software/mapping and Music CD/DVD products. These items are not refundable due to their nature.
Consumers may cancel goods purchased from this website by sending an e-mail to sales@sextonsdirect.co.uk. The notice of cancellation must be delivered to Sextons Direct Car Audio within seven working days of the date of delivery to the nominated address. When cancelling orders the following conditions apply;
- The customer will be responsible for all delivery costs, including the organisation and cost of returning the goods making sure they are adequately packaged and insured.
- The goods are to be returned unopened and in original condition.
- Providing points 1. and 2. are met upon inspection of the returned goods, a refund will be made to the customer.
